Troop 603 Announcements – January 31, 20112

Next Meeting - Thursday, February 2, 2012

1. Scout Sunday is in 3 weeks – Sunday Feb 12.

  • We will continue our Friday night – LOCK IN / GAMES NIGHT on Saturday 2/11 starting at 7:00pm.
  • Bring snacks / PS3’s / Game Cubes / X-360 / etc!
  • We will be serving breakfast to the church at 8:15 am
  • All scouts are expected to attend Sunday Service

2. Sign up for Summer Camp was due last week!

  • The boys that signed up for specialty programs have been submitted and looks like you got what you wanted! - Payment schedules to come out next week.

3. February Camping Trip is coming up fast – Think COLD WEATHER!!!! - February 17-19

  • Permission slips have been mailed – due back next week.

4. Henson Interviews

  • Henson Scout Reservation will be interviewing to fill 2012 Summer Camp Staff positions during the weekend of February 17, 18, & 19 at Henson Scout Reservation.
  • Positions are available for youth and adults.
  • The 2012 season will run from June 10-August 17.
  • Interested youth and adults should complete an application for summer employment prior to February 10, if possible.
  • For more information or assistance, please contact Eric Salser, Camp Director or call the HSR Camp Office.

Merit Badge College - 2st Session Saturday, 25 February

  • 8am - 4pm
  • Alfred Waters Middle School (1235 Cedar Lane Rd., Middletown, DE)
  • Make sure you'll done the prerequisites before Saturday. See prerequisites here
  • 2nd Session will be February 25th

Reminders

  • Class A uniform required for meetings
    • Shirt (tucked in) – Pants if over 1st class
    • All hats to be removed when entering the church for meetings

Sock Wars! (Nov 18-20) - Troop 603 takes advantage of those unmatched socks:

Zero-To-HERO (Oct 14-16) - Troop 603 welcomed Weblo cub scouts for to spend the day and night learning about what awaits them as Boy Scouts:

 

A Day at the Beach! (Sep 23-25) - the rains held off, but not even the might Troop 603 Scouts could hold back the power of the Atlantic:

Coastal Cleanup (Sep 10) - Thanks to all who participated in this year's Coastal Cleanup. There was a lot of debris and trash to be picked up by the numerous Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, siblings and parents who showed up.

Sea Base 2011(Jun 24-30) - 16 Scouts, 2 Newbie Adults and 6 Wish they were younger adults ventured out on 3 40' Morgan sailboats for week of sailing, snorkeling, good food and relaxation:"
